I really love these curtains! We had custom-made curtains in our former house (put in by the previous owner), and I always felt they looked a little 'over-done' for the house. I prefer more subtle, blend-with-the-color-of-the-paint curtains myself. So bought these, in beige, AND a pair that cost twice as much from Bed, Bath and Beyond at about the same time so that I could compare them. Well, I returned the Bed Bath and Beyond curtains and kept these. Everyone in my family, 5 of us, thought that these curtains from Overstock looked so much nicer than the BBB ones. What;s more, they're washable instead of dry clean only.
We got the curtains with grommets for our 8' wide master bedroom window because grommets make the curtains easier to open. Well, I don't know how we got along without these curtains! We love them! We got the 95" set in beige, and placed the rod 2" or 3" down from the top of the wall, so that the curtains pool a little on the carpet; this works well to keep down the drafts. The beige pair, as others have said, does not fully black out the room, but they block out the light well enough for our needs. They have a suede-like feel to them, a very nice texture which really feels luxurious to me. Everybody likes them. They are so much nicer than the BBB curtains, and they make the room look elegant.
RE: REMEMBER THAT YOU NEED AT LEAST A ONE INCH DIAMETER CURTAIN ROD FOR THESE CURTAINS:
It was difficult finding a curtain rod that matched the grommets well in color. The bronze shades aren't the same, but it's not really noticeable. REMEMBER, however, that with the grommets you need a curtain rod that's AT LEAST one inch in diameter--and even that's a little skimpy for these large-sized grommets. But we found a good one-inch diameter curtain rod at Lowes for about $40.00.
